Walker Farm at Whortleberry Hill is an American Grass-fed Association Certified (100% grass-fed and finished) and A Greener World Animal Welfare Approved BEEF producer. We also sell our all-natural, non-GMO hay to local farms, and our own honey and produce as available. We do have a small, select herd, so please contact us for availability of our beef—it sells quickly! We raise Ruby Red Devon cattle (with an occasional Red Angus cross for a different flavor offering; these are always clearly noted as a cross). The two main reasons Devons were chosen was that they marble—and thus taste best to us—of all cattle raised on 100% grass, and they are of a docile nature, easy to manage, and are naturally healthy and hearty. Our small herd continues to grow and is now more than three times the size it was at original purchase. The cows are visible at most times from the road, are never confined, and always allowed free range of the area they are in that day. They are allowed to be cows.
