JX Ranch — pasture-raised beef producer in Tucumcari, New Mexico
The farm

In their words.

JX Ranch sells grass-fed, grass-finished, 14–21 days dry-aged beef raised on our 7,000-acre ranch along the rugged escarpment in Eastern New Mexico known as the Caprock. Our cattle live their entire lives on our holistically managed pastures, are never fed any grains or corn, and do not receive added growth hormones, antibiotics, steroids, animal bi-products, or insecticides. We manage our land using regenerative management principles. We handle the cattle slowly and quietly to reduce stress that could affect the quality of your meat. We harvest them at around 17 months of age, which results in lean, tender and flavorful meat. Order your custom-cut, quarter, half or whole beef for great savings, healthy and delicious eating, and to keep your freezer stocked. We deliver our cattle in March and September to a few select custom butchers in New Mexico. On our website you pick your preferred butcher, fill out a cut sheet, and submit it together with a deposit. We then take your cow to the butcher, where you will pick up your meat when it’s ready. My husband Tom and I own and operate the JX Ranch and are the proud recipients of the following grazing awards: New Mexico Aldo Leopold Conser…
