Good Plains Farm is a small farm located in Timberville, Virginia. We are dedicated to the practice of regenerative agriculture and learning to be better stewards of the land by focusing on the health of the soil, plants, and animals--which translates to healthy consumers! Returning to our ancestral roots, soil, and the "Plains" of the Valley as 7th and 8th generation of "Good" farmers, we hope to provide a high-quality food source to local families and continue to expand our offerings in the future. We currently raise a small herd of 100% grassfed and finished pure Devon and Devon/Angus cross beef. Our grass-fed Devon cattle have been well loved and cared for. Along with using soil-building rotational grazing practices across our land with daily moves to fresh grass, are cattle are given a free-choice mineral mix, kelp, and natural trace mineral salt. Grass-fed and finished beef is available for custom processing at various times throughout the year, as well as by the individual cut. We are in the process of building an on-farm store to allow customers to stop in and shop!
