In their words.
Twigg Farms, LLC is a family-owned, generational farm in the beautiful Tualatin Valley of Oregon, west of Portland. The 5th generation of our family is growing up on the farm, which started as a dairy farm, and included plum, cherry, walnut and hazelnut orchards for diversity. The dairy cows are gone, but we continue to raise hazelnuts and have a small Angus herd that pastures and uses the old dairy barn built in the 1940s as shelter when needed from the Oregon rain. Our BEEF is naturally raised on grass and/or hay as needed—never any antibiotics or grain. Our herd matriarch is foundational to our herd. She grazies on lush grass and underneath sheltering fir trees, surrounded by her daughters, sons, nieces, and nephews in a low stress environment, Their stress-free environment keeps them naturally healthy! We typically butcher two steers each year using The Meating Place in Hillsboro, Oregon, who provide online custom ordering of the finished product. Customers must pick up their custom-cut beef directly from The Meating Place.Payment is per pound of the animal's hanging weight, with price per pound determined at the time of sale.
