The Chapel Hill Farm, near Winchester, VA, turns back the history book to the way beef is supposed to taste. Chapel Hill Randall Linebacks live very much as they would have hundreds of years ago. Ranging free on the grasslands of historic Chapel Hill Farm and drinking only limestone springwater, the Randall Linebacks, America’s ancient and rarest cattle, provide the discriminating and health-conscious gourmet the finest beef in the world. Several hundred years ago, American farmers created the Randall Lineback through mixing European breeds to form a distinct blend that would naturally withstand the special rigors of the New World and that would provide meat, dairy products, and oxen. These animals were the ideal breed for subsistence farming in America. Randall beef was on America’s table before feedlots, before antibiotics, and before growth hormones. Because of their heritage, Randall Linebacks have finely grained meat with little intermuscular fat. Add to this the fact that they are grassfed and the result is meat that has an intense clean taste and is much better for you than conventional breeds of beef.
