Pasture Prime Wagyu produces 100% Grass-fed WAGYU “American Kobe” Beef. We are among only a handful of farms in this country that produce 100% grass-fed Wagyu beef. The majority of our herd is purebred Wagyu. Over 90% of Wagyu meat produced in this country is only 50% Wagyu, which can lead to an inconsistent product. Our Wagyu herd was obtained from the Blue Rock Cattle Co. owned by Jerry Pittenger, a founding father of the Wagyu breed in this country. Our family has been farming on the same homestead since 1976 with a commitment and passion for providing the highest quality products nature will allow. We spent 27 years in the dairy business before transitioning to sustainably raised beef, pork and poultry. We never use any antibiotics, hormones, or animal byproducts and all animals are treated with care and respect. We are Animal Welfare Approved. We raise several heritage breeds of hogs: Berkshire (Korobuta), Chester Whites, and Mangalitsa—the world famous “wooly pigs” from Austria and Hungary.
