At Hedgewood Farms, our mission is to practice humane and sustainable farming to provide premium-quality pastured beef, poultry, pork, and eggs that sustain the land and our bodies in the healthiest way possible. Our products have no added hormones or antibiotics, and we never rely on chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Instead, we combine rotational grazing, poly-farming and strategic biodiversity to control weeds and soil quality. Did you know cattle are ruminants? That is why our Angus and Scottish Highland/South Pole cattle are humanely raised and 100% grazed year-round. We practice management intensive grazing because it is best for the cattle and the soil. Our pastured poultry receive supplemental grains that are 100% organic. They live in mobile chicken tractors and move across our pastures daily, feasting on cow patties, forage, and bugs while fertilizing our pastures at the same time. This builds the soil, benefits the ecology, and makes for a more flavorful, better textured, healthier chicken. Egg-laying hens are truly free-range and supplemented with 100% organic grain.
