The farm

In their words.

Avenales Ranch has been stewarding 18,000 acres on the central coast of California since 1875 (six generations) and been Certified Organic (by Organic Certifiers from Ventura) and G.A.P. 4 since 2018. We sustainably raise black Angus and Hereford cross animals, never using hormones, antibiotics, or pesticides. Organic, grassfed and finished, sustainably raised, and dry-aged for 27 days, our beef is your grandpa’s beef. Our beef comes in several sizes: Whole beef (roughly 400 pounds) Half beef (roughly 200 pounds) Quarter beef (roughly 100 pounds) We have partnered with Sinton & Sons butcher (previously J&R Meats) in Paso Robles to offer our beef in smaller box sizes. If you’d like smaller portions (or other animals) please contact them at orders@sintonandsons.com or call 805-237-8100. For quarter/half/whole beef, we ship anywhere in California, or we have two locations to pick up from: Paso Robles and Templeton, CA.

Editor’s note

Avenales Ranch carries third-party certification: USDA Organic. Those bodies maintain public producer rosters that this listing has been cross-referenced against. They ship nationally to the continental US.
