The farm

In their words.

1902 Ranch is a family-owned ranch in Coupeville, Washington, on Whidbey Island. We are dedicated to raising grass-fed, grass-finished premium Wagyu BEEF. Our mission is to support the well-being of people, animals, communities, and the planet through sustainable and humane ranching practices. Located in the Pacific Northwest, our ranch benefits from a mild climate that supports year-round pasture grazing. Even in winter, warmer days allow for grass growth, ensuring our livestock have continuous access to fresh forage. We practice rotational grazing to maintain healthy pastures and provide our cattle with the most nutrient-rich grasses available. During winter, we supplement their diet with locally grown, nutrient-dense hay. Our cattle are never given antibiotics, hormones, or chemicals. Each animal is individually tagged and carefully monitored to ensure the health of both the animal and the herd. Raised humanely, they roam freely on well-managed pastures, leading a stress-free, natural lifestyle.

Editor’s note

1902 Ranch lists grass-fed, grass-finished, and no antibiotics on their public-facing materials. These are the producer’s own claims; we do not independently audit them.
